This role is part of a fast-moving program centered on delivering scalable Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using UiPath, particularly within the Oracle EBS Federal Financials environment.

You’ll join a lean, delivery-focused team driving automation across finance, accounting, and operational domains. The ideal candidate brings strong UiPath development experience and a working knowledge of AI/ML concepts that will be valuable as the program evolves to incorporate intelligent automation capabilities in the future.

Job Description

  • Develop a Solution Design Document (SDD) that translates the business requirements outlined in the Process Definition Document (PDD) into a complete technical design for automation.
  • Design & Development - Develop robust, scalable automations using UiPath (2023.10+) for financial, accounting, and programmatic business processes.
  • Build automation workflows that incorporate error handling, logging, and operational resilience, developed in accordance with our team’s custom standards for auditability, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Translate business requirements into high-quality, supportable solutions in collaboration with Business Analysts and stakeholders.
  • AI-Ready Automation Engineering
  • Apply foundational knowledge of AI/ML concepts (e.g., NLP, LLMs, document understanding) to support long-term automation strategy and design decisions.
  • Design automations with future AI-enhancement in mind, including structured data handling, modular design, and system extensibility.
  • Testing, Deployment & Quality
  • Conduct testing using UiPath Test Suite or equivalent tools.
  • Maintain proper version control and follow deployment best practices.
  • Conduct peer code reviews to validate alignment with established development standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Engage closely with analysts, financial SMEs, and ERP stakeholders to align functional needs with automation architecture.
  • Communicate blockers, surface risks, and contribute to sprint goals with minimal oversight.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in development or systems analysis roles, including 3+ years building UiPath automations in production environments.
  • Strong command of UiPath development best practices, including component reuse, error handling, and logging.
  • Demonstrated experience incorporating AI/ML techniques, such as NLP, LLMs, or classification models, into automation efforts in previous roles.
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS Federal Financials (R12+), especially GL, AP, AR, PO, PA, FA, and IBY.
  • Proficiency with APIs, JSON/XML, and secure integration practices.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills in Agile delivery environments.

Preferred

Qualifications

  • UiPath Advanced Developer Certification (or willingness to complete within 60 days of hire).
  • Familiarity with UiPath AI Center, Document Understanding, or similar AI-capable RPA tools.
  • Experience in federal financial environments or regulated enterprise contexts.
  • Exposure to additional RPA platforms (e.g., Automation Anywhere, Power Automate).

Additional Attributes

  • AI-Aware Mindset: Comfortable designing automation solutions with future AI integration in mind. You understand how intelligent capabilities can improve workflows, even if they aren’t in use immediately.
  • Delivery-First Orientation: You prioritize stability, scalability, and results—delivering automations that work in the real world.
  • Independent Execution: You’re expected to work independently within a well-supported, mature framework—leveraging available resources and guidance while taking ownership of your deliverables from start to finish.
