Job Description

Main Responsibility of a Meat Clerk / Wrapper: Part time positions available as well.

Also may work in the deli department as needed.

To properly wrap all types of meats in the variety, size, quality, and trim prescribed by company and department standards; to ensure that the work shift contributes to the financial best interests of the store. Complete all other duties as assigned by the manager in a timely manner.

Position Accountabilities:

• Possess a good attitude and pleasant personality
• Wrap, weigh, and price meats and related products
• Maintain price updates
• Stock display cases
• Notify meat manager of any temperature problems in case
• Check code dates
• Cull meat case for any dark or bloody packaes
• Keep wrapping equipment and area clean and sanitized
• Observe health department regulations
• Order wrapping supplies to maintain production
• Take proper tare weight on all packages
• Keep cases, glass, and mirros clean and free of tape and blood
• Maintain organization of case signs and POP material
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Provide exceptional service to each and every guest, in a positive manner
• Any and all other jobs asked to be done by your supervisor

Requirements:

May be asked to carry 50 lbs. for a length of 20 feet

May need to be able to push 60 lbs.

May need to be able to pull 60 lbs.

Must be able to bend, squat, climb and lift objects overhead

Must be able to tolerate temperature differentials

Must be able to work nights, holidays and weekends
