We have an exciting opportunity for a Environmental Health and Safety Intern to join our West Hartford, CT team. This position will provide support in implementing and supporting EHS initatives.
Conduct facility walkthroughs to become familiar with operations, processes, and safety procedures.
Perform comprehensive Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assessments to ensure proper selection and usage.
Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for various tasks to identify and control potential hazards.
Assist in the development and implementation of PPE and JSA documentation and training materials.
Collaborate with safety and operations teams to ensure consistent application of safety protocols.
Perform machine guarding assessments across the facility to verify compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Identify and report machine guarding deficiencies; recommend corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of assessments and ensure timely follow-up on corrective actions.
Support ongoing safety initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
