C++ Software Engineer-Space Force

100% remote work

• Experienced with C++ constructs, classes, objects, inheritance, polymorphism, operator overloading
• Experience using gcc and toolchains in Linux
• Experience Developing in Linux environment
• Familiar with using IDEs such as Visual Studio Code
• Use of Gitlab and Gitlab runner for building
• Familiar with AWS 
• Familiar with JSON and XML a plus

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled C++ Software Engineer to join our team. You will work on the development and enhancement of a critical communication system that provides high-quality, reliable communication services to forces in challenging environments. The role involves developing software in a Linux environment with modern C++ constructs while supporting a live system and adding new capabilities.

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in C++ Software Engineering in a Linux environment and the experience listed above, especially the Government Rancher Kubernetes Engine, K8s and DevSecOps experience.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Master's Degree.
• Agile experience.
• Embedded real-time operating systems (VxWorks, Integrity, PetaLinux) and significant C++ programming experience.
• Ability to lead the software development process.
• Expertise in ing technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges creatively.
• Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success.
• Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements.
